Trudeau, who has long been a vocal critic of the oil and gas industry, was seen sneaking around the site wearing a hard hat and coveralls, trying to blend in with the workers.

But it wasn’t long before he was caught by a sharp-eyed oilfield worker, who recognized the Prime Minister despite his attempts at disguise.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw him sneaking around the site,” said the worker, who wished to remain anonymous. “I mean, he’s always talking about how much he hates the oil industry, and here he is sneaking around trying to get a job in it. It’s just ridiculous.”

The Prime Minister’s office was quick to issue a statement, explaining that Trudeau was just “conducting a little field research” and that he was “deeply committed to understanding the industry and the challenges facing workers.”

But many were skeptical of the explanation, with some speculating that Trudeau was simply trying to get a closer look at the inner workings of the oilfield in order to better understand how to shut it down.

Regardless of the reason, it’s clear that this latest stunt has left many Canadians scratching their heads and wondering what the Prime Minister will do next.
